Solar Lease Benefits

This solar farm in Independence, Allegany, NY is estimated to produced nearly 10,000,000 kWh annually and is expected to be completed by late next year. Stretching out over an area of just under 30 acres, the project will feed into the local electric grid and contribute to the decarbonization of New York state.

Once this solar farm is active the landowner will receive payments for the next 25 years from the solar lease with OYA Solar. The local community benefits from the solar project through a community solar program and the clean energy generated by the project and sent directly to the grid for distribution.
